Candlewood Lake

Candlewood Lake is the largest lake in the state and is nearly 11 miles long. The manmade lake began filling in 1926 and was built over a small village, some of the old buildings are said to still be underwater! The Lake is surrounded by the towns of Brookfield, Danbury, New Fairfield, New Milford, and Sherman. We can even bring you to Down The Hatch for lunch or dinner by boat! Please note we have a 4 hour minimum for Candlewood lake.
