Ian has been around the lake life since before he could walk. He learned to waterski from his family at the age of 6 and has been hooked on boating and watersports ever since. By the age of 12, Ian was able to save up enough money to purchase his first ski boat and would spend every available moment on the lake with family, friends and his chocolate lab named Maggie.
After introducing many people to the lake life, Ian knew that he wanted to share his passion for the water with many more. After paying for dockage fees, insurance, maintenance, gear, and seeing many other boaters frustrated with the amount of time and money it would take just to get out on the water, Ian knew that a hassle-free boating and watersports experience was needed, especially with Connecticut’s limited summer season.
At the age of 18, Ian tested and became a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain in
addition to becoming certified in first aid and CPR. Ian is currently a business entrepreneurship student at the WP Carey School of Business at Arizona State University in addition to being a member of the Sun Devil waterski team.
In the offseason, Ian can often times be found snowmobiling in the Adirondacks, camping, or attending boat shows. Ian also spends time at waterski and wakeboard tournaments and has even done watersports modeling to stay up to date with the watersports industry and use this knowledge to give Connecticut Watersports customers the best lake day possible!
